Wickhams Group: Fencing & Landscaping in South London and Kent
The Client
Wickhams Group is a trusted, West Wickham–based landscaping and fencing company serving homes and businesses across South London and Kent. With over 20 years of experience, their services range from patios and driveways to fencing, brickwork, turfing, and pergolas. Previously relying on word-of-mouth, social media, and a TrustATrader profile, they were ready to build a standalone website that could establish a stronger digital presence and generate more local leads.
The Challenge
This was Wickhams Group’s first ever website. They needed something professional, mobile-friendly and SEO-optimised to reflect the high standard of their work and help convert visits into enquiries. Clear, confidence-building content was essential, as was an easy way to showcase the variety and quality of their work. We were also tasked with creating their new logo and brand look from scratch.
Our Solution
We built the new Wickhams Group website on Squarespace, using mobile-first layouts and structured service pages to support local SEO. A clear navigation guides users to residential or commercial services, with galleries showing recent work and testimonials placed throughout to build trust.
We wrote all the website content with search performance and clarity in mind, and designed prominent call-to-action blocks to guide users toward getting a quote or making contact. We also added a Google map, created a new visual identity, and used custom CSS for extra layout control and design polish.
The Outcome
While word-of-mouth and the branded A-boards we designed (which Wickhams leave outside each completed job) remain their strongest source of new business, the website has become a valuable digital asset. It offers crucial social proof, reinforces their professional image, and helps potential customers discover them online when researching fencing or landscaping services in South London or Kent. The site receives over 200 organic visits per month with no paid ads, and presents a polished, trustworthy first impression that strengthens their reputation and supports conversions. Cahoot Creative continues to provide managed Squarespace hosting, email support, and ongoing design support.
